Over 100 people were killed on Tuesday night after Boko Haram men attacked 4 villages; Attagara, Agapalawa, Ngoshe and Aganjara in the Gwoza local government area of Borno State.

News of the attack is just being heard because the men destroyed the telecommunications mast in the villages during the attacks.

Boko Haram takes over Borno villages, kills 9, hoists flag

According to a report by Premium Times, suspected Boko Haram men yesterday May 26th attacked villages in the rocky mountains of Gwoza town of Borno State, killing 9 villagers and setting various houses and churches in the area ablaze. Reports say the men hoisted their flag at Ashigashiya ward of Gwoza LGA, a place they now claim is their headquarters.

Speaking to newsmen, a local government official, Nglamuda Ibrahim confirmed the incident and said that some of the villagers with bullet wounds are currently taking refuge at the top of the mountains. He said no help, either from the police or military has come to those that were injured since the attack and that the sect men are believed to be preparing for a second attack. Continue...

"As we speak now, I am still receiving distress calls from them, they were all crying and calling for help; no soldier or police official had gone there yet. The Boko Haram gunmen mounted their flags in Ashigashiya which is now like their headquarters. In last night’s attack, six churches were burnt, eight persons were killed and several others seriously injured. We cannot count the number of houses that were burnt in Chinene village of Chikide-Joghode-Kaghum ward. They also attacked Amuda village where one person was killed and several others injured. As I am talking to you now, the insurgents have mobilised at Izhaghathagwa mountain, planning on how to finish (kill) our people; that is why they have been calling for help before the gunmen climb up to them. We are calling on the military authorities in the state to quickly go up there and help us rescue those poor villagers, their wives and children before the imminent danger of the gunmen attack caught them up in the mountains,” he said. “We have a detachment of soldiers that were deployed to Gwoza but none of them cares to go behind the mountains, even though everyone hears the sound of the shootings there” he said
Ibrahim gave the names of some of those killed in Chinene village as Bulama Dajiba, Bulama John, Haruna Wadda, Bitrus Kurma, Haruna Kwatha, Haruna Waruda, and Shaibu Galva.

Meanwhile a military personnel who spoke anonymously to Premium Times said the flag hoisting took place in Ashigashiya village three weeks ago. He said the Military has been informed about yesterday's attack.

Adamawa villagers today killed 70 Boko Haram men searching for food

According to a report by Sahara Reporters, no fewer than 70 members of Boko Haram were killed today May 16th by members of a vigilante group in the Madagali town of Adamawa state and captured seven alive who they handed over to the police.

The vigilantes reportedly acted after they were tipped off by a local food vendor that the militants were coming to get food before heading out for a major operation to raid villages in the area, usually carried out at night.

With this information, the vigilantes mobilized, laid ambush and patiently waited for the men of the sect. The men, numbering about 100, showed up later at night to pick up their meal and that was when the vigilantes attacked them, killing most and arresting the ones that survived the assault. Continue...

Today's attack is reportedly the second time this week that local vigilantes have defeated Boko Haram men. A security source told SaharaReporters that resident in many remote areas in the North seem to have decided that the best way to repel incessant attacks by Boko Haram insurgents was to take matters into their own hands.

A vigilante member involved in today's ambush told a Sahara Reporters correspondent that Nigerian soldiers appear unable or unwilling to wage an effective war against the insurgents.
"They (soldiers) seem to be helpless and to fear the Boko Haram warriors who terrorize us here. But we are not afraid. They are men like us. And we are tired of folding up our hands and allowing them to kill us, to kill our wives and to kill our children."

Another Boko Haram member captured in TB Joshua's church...

Let me just put a disclaimer here...I didn't write this o! :-). Article written by Ihechukwu Njoku - a freelance Nigerian journalist who writes for Synagogue Church. Read his new piece below...

Another member of the dreaded Boko Haram sect allegedly confessed at Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua’s church today, stating that he was being paid N2,000,000 to bomb churches.
Nearing the end of the service, during the time Joshua’s ‘Wise Men’ were minisring ‘deliverance’ to people, an aggressive young man dressed in a shabby suit was ushered forward.
“I am one of the Boko Haram,” the man declared to the wise man, clearly under an unusual influence.“They said they would give me N2,000,000 if I went to blow up a church,” the man continued upon questioning as to how he joined the infamous group of insurgents. “Every church would be N2,000,000. They said would be give me big house and a wife.” Continue...
Boko Haram has been the focus of huge international media attention following their claiming responsibility for the kidnapping of over 200 girls several weeks ago.

Queried as to why he came to the church, the man stated, “I have been hearing of T.B. Joshua – that is why I came here.” The wise man then prayed for the man who fell heavily to the ground, before being declared free from the ‘evil spirit’.

Several minutes later, T.B. Joshua himself returned to the service simply clad in jeans and a t-shirt. “I was in the prayer room when I heard the deliverance going on and listened to the confession of this guy. What he was confessing is mind-boggling,” the cleric told the congregation.

Bringing the man back before the congregation, Joshua questioned him further as to how he was initiated into the sect. “My name is Hosea Bulus,” the man began. “They gave me blood; they gave me charms. I took it inside food.”

According to Bulus, upon taking the diabolic ‘blood’, the urge to kill and destroy entered him. “If you talk to me, I will fight you very well,” he confessed.

Joshua emphasised to the congregation that the battle was more spiritual than physical. “One thing you must know – we are fighting evil spirits that steal, kill and destroy. Let us not fight our neighbours.”

He insisted the problem was not a Muslim-Christian issue. “They are using that name as a camouflage, as a cover up,” he stated, adding that no one could bring himself to killing innocent lives without being under the influence of an ‘evil spirit’.

Joshua then prayed for the man, who fell to his knees and immediately complained that he wanted to visit the toilet.

The popular pastor reminded the congregation of the well-publicized deliverance of an alleged Boko Haram member named ‘Mustapha’ two months ago at The SCOAN who stated he came to bomb the church with four accomplices.

He explained that authorities in Abuja have certified the authenticity of his confession, contrary to the statement released by Lagos State Police Commissioner Umar Manko who initially dismissed the claims.

“At the beginning they said it’s not true but the authorities in Abuja came out to confirm that he is truly a Boko Haram member… They are following it up.”

The cleric concluded by stating he would not ask any further questions publicly so as not to undermine the intelligence Hosea would be able to provide to the relevant authorities.

Several minutes later, the man was shown excreting out some blackish substances following the prayer.

Graphic pics: Suspected female ritualist set ablaze by a mob in Abule Egba

Can the Lagos State government please make jungle justice a crime punishable by many years in prison? This can't continue happening. We as citizens can't keep taking the laws into our hands. Other wise innocent people will suffer too. The pics from this scene is so gory, I don't know if I should share it.

The woman pictured above was accused of attempting to to kidnap the primary school pupils in the Ekoro area of Abule-Egba, Lagos yesterday May 6th. Eye-witnesses claim the woman stopped the kids, who were aged 7-10 years as they were going to school, and asked to take them to school.

Then a female hawker in the area, suspecting the woman was up to no good, alerted others in the area who then surrounded the woman and started asking her questions. They say the woman they were her children but couldn't give their names and the direction she was taking them wasn't where their school was...plus the children said they didn't know her and before anyone could stop it, they descended on the woman. Beating her to a stupor and then setting her ablaze.

See the gory pics from the scene after the cut...will take it down in a bit.
