The ex-England captain, who has played 115 times for his country, has decided to call it a day after winning the French league title with Paris St Germain, starring in his last game at the weekend, right. Beckham said: 'I'm thankful to PSG for giving me the opportunity to continue but I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level.' Whatever his connections to Manchester United, England fans will be forever grateful for his last-minute free-kick against Greece, above centre, in 2001 which secured a place in the 2002 World Cup.
