Thousands gathered at a stadium in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang today to watch the youngsters be sworn into the Korean Children's Union (centre), an organisation likened to the Hitler Youth. The children were made to pledge allegiance to despot ruler Kim Jong Un (left) before retired military officers helped them tie on red scarves (right) to complete the ritual. The ceremony was held as the madman dictator pressed ahead with plans to launch a ballistic missile, placing the world on high alert for a possible nuclear war
